Frequently asked questions

A few answers before your next step.

Start here for a clearer sense of the Circle, the three pillars, and the questions to take to your professional team. There is no need to have a transaction in mind.

How do the three pillars work together?

Mortgage Financing, Lifestyle, and Real Estate are equal parts of The Pause & Power Circle. They connect housing and financing education with everyday wellbeing and community, so you can consider both the practical details and how a decision fits your life. Explore one pillar or all three at your own pace.

Who is The Pause & Power Circle for?

The Pause & Power Circle is for people exploring housing choices, midlife changes, and community, with a focus on New Jersey. You can explore community resources without any financial or real estate commitment; you do not need to be planning a transaction to find something useful here.

Is the Circle a mortgage program?

No. The Circle offers community and general education. It is separate from any mortgage product or real estate transaction, and participation does not require applying for financing or using professional services.

Can I reach out before I am ready to buy or refinance?

Yes. You can start with general questions while you are still exploring your priorities. Reaching out does not require a mortgage application or a real estate commitment. Financing eligibility and transaction requirements vary and are confirmed by appropriately licensed professionals; a conversation is not an approval or guarantee.

What should I discuss with my professional team before deciding what happens to my home during divorce?

Ask your attorney, financial advisor, appropriately licensed lender, and real estate professional to review affordability, title, existing loan obligations, equity, documentation, and timing across keeping, buying out, or selling. Confirm with your attorney and lender that being awarded the home does not by itself change loan responsibility and transferring title does not release anyone from a mortgage. Ask whether refinancing or an assumption may be available; eligibility and transaction requirements need individual professional review. This is general education, not individualized legal or lending advice.

This page is general education, not legal, tax, financial or individualized mortgage advice. Guidelines change and every situation is different — please review your own circumstances with appropriately licensed professionals.
